I *heart* Kroger

So, this is what I got at Kroger for $0.65. You heard me right, $0.65.

5 pints of Dove icecream (on sale for $1.50, I had $2.00 off coupons)
1 box Snickers icecream bars (on sale for $2.00, I had $1.00 coupon)
1 box M&M icecream bars (on sale for $2.00, I had $1.00 coupon)
10 Scotch Brite sponges (on sale for $0.50, I had $1.00 coupons)
2 bags Quaker Rice Cakes (on sale for $0.50)
1 box Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate packets (on sale for $0.50)
2 - 4 packs Cottonelle toilet paper ($0.99 and I had one e-coupon for $0.50 off)

My overage for the Dove and sponges paid for everything else. I actually miscalculated my overage and could have gotten another 2 packs of Cottonelle and still only paid $0.65, but I didn't realize this until I was already checking out, so I just didn't get to use 2 of my $1.00 off coupons for the sponges. Oh well, I still think I got a Sweet Deal.

Triples again... and yummy cereal.

Our Harris Teeter had triples again. It wasn't that grand this time. I only made one trip and could barely find enough things worth buying with my 20 coupon limit. I've lost my reciept, so I don't even know the retail value!! It was somewhere around $40 and I only spent $2.73.

My other good deal of late (no pictures) was a deal where I got 12 boxes of Frosted Mini Wheats (Blueberry, Strawberry, and Maple & Brown Sugar) for $3.48 out of pocket and I had a $3 coupon at the end to use on any other groceries! It was awesome.

I also got a great deal at Kroger. I got:

3 - 4 pack Cottonelle Toilet Paper
3 - Scotch Lint Rollers
4 - boxes of instant Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate
1 - 3Liter bottle of Deer Park Water
2 - Colgate Toothpaste.
I only spent $1.78! I was so happy because we were so out of toilet paper. We were actually toilet papered a few months ago and while cleaning up, we found a bunch of rolls that had been dropped and not used. I hate to admit, but we had been reduced to using that 1 ply junk!!!

This is out of control...

So we are a bit out of control here. With the $5 off $20 at walgreens, the $1.01 money maker on pert plus at walgreens, and the free makeup at k-mart, we went a little wild.

We spent around $100 out of pocket, but have $81 in register rewards. That leaves us with actually spending $19 for everything in the pictures. Thats a LOT of stuff for $19. The value of all the items is $1,267, plus tax. I'd say we got away with a steal of a deal, wouldn't you? :)

And closer up...

El Paso's lack of coupons

So because I live in el paso, I'm out 3 really good coupons this week. We not only dont get the high value coupons, sometimes they just leave pages of the smartsource or redplum out completely! It really irks me. While searching for a different newspaper we could get sent to el paso (with the utah ads), I ran into this and thought it was interesting (link)

Top Coupon-Clipping Cities

Scarborough also examined Grocery Coupon Clipping Households - those households that use grocery coupons (specifically) once a week or more.

Milwaukee, WI and Rochester, NY are the leading US market areas for these households, the analysis found:

40% of Milwaukee households and 38% of Rochester households use grocery coupons once a week or more.
Nationally, 27% of households use grocery coupons with this same frequency.
Albuquerque, NM, El PasoTX, and Fresno, CA are the markets least likely to have Grocery Coupon Clipping Households: 14% of Albuquerque households use grocery coupons once a week or more; 15% of those in El Paso, and Fresno use grocery coupons with this same frequency.

More of the same (glade, crest, sb, etc...)

So I thought I'd finished the week early, but more deals came along... So I took them! In the end I spent a total of $5 (once I get my rebates). Talk about an awesome week! Now if only I could get two walgreens accounts... I did get one more chocolate bar, but already gave it to mom.

I am going to get a little more for free this week as well. 1 glade glass scents, and 2 more pert plus.

Thanks for getting me started on this when good wags deals were going on! Next month is supposed to be pretty slow though.

Lowe's Food Triples

A grocery store close to us, Lowe's Foods, did triple coupons. The items below have a retail value of: $108.49. I saved $22.65 with sale prices and $75.33 with coupons. I paid $10.51, which is only 9.7% of the retail value! Wahoo!!!

I got all of this at Kroger. I paid $5.23, but got $8.00 in coupons to spend next time.

This is my Walgreens weekly deals. Luckily for me, my gift card from last month was refilled. I spent $4.00 in Register Reward, but have $7.50 RR for next time. I spent about $24.00 on my gift card, but I'll recieve about $24.00 back on it from rebates. Nothing out of pocket because of the gift card!

Lastly, but not least, this is what I got at CVS. I lost about $7.00 in ECBs this week, but I was able to get 2 bottles of vitamins (not pictured) that we needed and get Abe a Halloween sippy cup. I only spent $0.51 out of pocket and I still have over $60.00 in ECBs to use.

Early shopping

I've finished all my shopping for this week already. I spent (after getting my RR's) $10.5 for about $127 worth of stuff.

Just so everyone knows, pert plus is free at walgreens this week. It's actually $3.49, but there is a in-store coupon for $2.50 off (you can use it as many time as you want). You can print off 2 $1 off coupons here, and 2 more coupons at on page 6 or 7. That is 4 free pert plus per computer you have access to print from.

$8 of that was spent on the diced tomatoes and tava (yummy tava). The rest combined came to $2.50 :)

K-Mart doubles for me!

I was lucky to have K-Mart double coupons in my area this week. This is the picture from my first trip. I made one other trip (got 1 dove deodorant and 2 Edge shaving gels for $0.80 not pictured) for myself and then helped Jared sort out Tami's coupons and make a trip, since she is out of town.

I got everything pictured below, about $70.00 retail value for $7.50 ($3 of that was TAX!). I was pretty happy with my deals.

I'll post my CVS and Walgreens trips later. OH and get excited for me...a grocery store in our area, Lowe's Foods in doing triples next week! They haven't had a triples day since I've started couponing, so I'm excited to see if it is as lucrative as Harris Teeter usually is. My coupon buddy says their prices are generally cheaper (although still way above Wal-Mart's normal price) so, with triples you can score a lot of great stuff.

Good wags week

I had a really good week at walgreens.

I payed $42 out of pocket, but got $8.5 in RR and $17.5 in rebates. So we ended up paying $17 for everything in both pictures combined

Funny thing is, $7 of the price came from the pringles (yummy pringles). That means the rest was only $10 o.O

Last weeks deals

Last week I didn't get many deals. I payed $26 out of pocket, then got $20 in RR, so paid $6 for whats in the picture

Sweet Hershey Love

This was a CVS deal. If you bought $15 of select candy you recieved $7 ECB.

I purchased 6 bags of kisses for $2.50 each. total: $15

I used 3 - $1/2 bags of Hershey kisses that I found at Harris Teeter

I used 1 - $2 off a $10 purchase CVS coupon

I used 1 - $2 off a bag of Hershey's candy CVS coupon that printed on my reciept

So I got $7.00 off with coupons.

Then I used a $5.99 and a $2.00 ECB from a previous purchase.

I paid $0.21 and recieved my $7.00 ECB back.

The sweetest part of the deal? All the bags were Movie Bonus bags with 5 points each. So I have 30 points, with that I'll get two free $8.50 movie tickets from Hershey!! So sweet!

K-Mart Double Coupons

K-Mart double coupon day was ok for us, if they weren't so expensive to start with, we might have gotten more deal. Oh well, nothing to complain about :)

Retail Value : $84.45 (using sale prices)

Coupons : $58.45

Rebates : $3.99

Total cost : $22.01

CVS and Walgreens

Here is my most recent CVS deal. When I talk about retail value, it is the store's that I purchased it from retail value, bear in mind that CVS and Walgreens prices are higher than Wal-Mart's would be.

Retail Value: $57.33

Sales savings: -$22.63 = $34.70

Coupon savings: -$11.75 = $22.95

ECBs used: -$19.98 = $2.97

I paid the $2.97 on a gift card. I recieved $22.98 back in new ECBs, which is $0.03 more than I spent when you add my ECBs and my amount on the gift card.

I also had a $10 Register Reward from an earlier deal at Walgreens that was expiring today, so here is what I purchased:

Retail Value: $17.35

Sales savings: -$3.48 = $13.87

Register Reward: -$10.00 = $3.87

I paid this on a gift card. I recieved a new $5 Register Reward and I will also get $8.78 back on my gift card. So I used $13.87 and essentially recieved $13.78, so I lost $0.09 on the deal.

Triple Coupons

I had already posted this on the sidebar of my blog, but I'll add it here. This was my triple coupon haul. Harris Teeter did a deal earlier in the week involving Betty Crocker fruit snacks and Green Giant vegetables, but I haven't added those totals yet. My totals here:

$190 worth of groceries(approx.)

-$59 sales(approx.)

-$119 coupons(approx.)

= $11.70!!!

What a deal. I'm excited about the CupNoodles that we scored 36 of (they paid me $0.05 apiece) to add to our food storage.

Gordon & Jessica - September 15-20

This week we did most of our deals at walmart.
(This weeks numbers are off, because I lost 3 reciepts)

The deals:

TGIF- On their website a month ago, the put a pdf coupon for $3 off any frozen snack. It was static, so many poeple ved it to download later. Within 1 day they took it off. I got a pdf of it. The only problem is that its so fuzzy that it won't scan. The cashier has to punch it in manually (the original was that fuzzy, so it has always had the issue.) I don't like having to make them push to coupon, so we probably wont do that one anymore.

The kotex has 2 seperate bricks coupons for $1 off, and the small size we got were $1 each, so they were free

The relish was $1 and vlassic has a $1 off printable pdf (no limit)
